Color Crush

Fiber reactive dyes are used with either a low-water immersion or ice-dye method. No two pieces are ever identical, sometimes very similar, but never identical. During this process the 40" width of fabric shrinks to about 39", still a very generous yard!
When preparing fabric for dyeing it is torn, to ensure there are no straight-of-grain issues later.

All fabric is processed in such a way that residual dye particles have been removed. It is always advisable to use a color retention sheet when washing hand dyed fabric.
