Angel Oak Stitchery is a large vendor and a sponsoring shop for many great quilt shows around the southeast. We are also a web-based shop dedicated to supporting quilters all over. We offer quality fabrics, threads, notions, and acrylic rulers for quilters, hand and machine embroiderers, and long-armists. We are Roger and Vicki Eslick. We enjoy country living on almost four acres with two German Shepherd Dogs.
I’m a native South Carolinian, raised on Johns Island very near the historic and majestic oak tree named, “Angel Oak.” My love for that approximately 1500 year old tree can only compare to my love of quilting, so we decided it was the perfect name for our business.
I have always loved fabric. My mother could never understand why, since I didn‘t sew, and showed no interest in learning. (If she could only see me now!) I’ve been quilting, taking classes and learning new techniques for eleven years.
My husband Roger has always been very supportive of my quilting hobby. His encouragement has inadvertently taught him a lot about quilting and machine embroidery. He even mapped-out quilt shop locations for me on our vacations, rerouting us to insure our arrival time within their business hours. He freely offers his assistance whenever needed, and has even “fussy-cut” some pieces for me. He says there are no mistakes in quilting-merely design changes. Roger is the driving force behind Angel Oak Stitchery's rulerwork template manufacturing.
We have talked about having our own quilt shop many times over the years. After much prayer, planning and encouragement from family and friends, we felt that this was the right time for us to embrace that dream. We are very excited about Angel Oak Stitchery and hope you will be too! We look forward to making new friends while serving your quilting and embroidery needs.
To all of you, from all of us at Angel Oak Stitchery - Thank you for visiting our store!
